Susan Swartz Studios is pleased to announce the upcoming dedication of Swartz’s latest commission, Zion’s Glow, a 72×72” acrylic on linen painting. Commissioned by Zions Bank, this large-scale painting is a gift to Zion National Park in honor of its Centennial year.

At a VIP dinner before the concert, Park City artist Susan Swartz will present a new 6-foot-square acrylic-on-linen painting, “Zion’s Glow,” commissioned by Zions Bank. The work by the internationally known painter will eventually hang at the park.

The Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Museum of Art at UC Davis launches its summer season on Saturday, June 30. “Breaking Away: 2006-2018,” Susan Swartz’s museum debut on the West Coast, features new work straight from the artist’s studio.

If there were a single word that situates Susan Swartz’s art it may be threshold. Susan Swartz is perhaps herself a threshold between nature and visual representation of nature, between life and its image. She shares this liminal life easily, almost as a muse or a sound board of nature.
