During the winter season, Swartz exhibited 23 vibrant depictions of the Utah landscape at the lauded Springville Museum of Art, the oldest art museum in the state of Utah. Located in Springville, Utah, SMA has provided cultural and educational opportunities to residents and visitors for over 100 years.

Following Swartz’s solo show, the museum acquired the piece Amazing Grace — a six-foot square acrylic on linen piece depicting the crimson blaze of maples in autumn — for its permanent collection, which also includes works by artists such as Maynard Dixon, Vyacheslav Fedorov, John Elliott Tullidge and George Wesley Browning. Wrote museum director, Dr. Vern Swanson:

It is fortunate when an artist can connect the beauty that surrounds us with an environmental imperative and a spiritual influence. Susan Swartz is an artist who can provoke such passion.
